How do you deal with fear?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 19, 2009:
"Perfect love drives out all fear'" 1 John 4:18
"For we have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of a sound mind." 2 Tim 1:7
When I fear the unknown, the unexpected, or even the dark, I have to remind myself of the promises God says. There's no reason for me to fear, He has my back.
